Sprite Step Off 2010

On Saturday, Febuary 20, 2010 the national final of the Sprite Step-Off Challenge was held in Atlanta Civic Center. That morning, my friend and I decided that we really wanted to go but--we had no tickets! Thus, we started a mad search for some tickets to this "sold out" event; calling people near and far, high and low, to and fro--you get the gist. For a short while, it seemed as though we honestly were out of luck but defeat would not be accepted! Miraculously, at the LAST minute, thanks to the powers that be, 3 tickets came through!!! {for me, mi amiga, y amiga's lil sis}

So yes. We went. Had fun. Show was great {long, but great nonetheless}.

Drake closed out the event. Felt kinda bad for him though because by the time he came out, most of us had been stationery for atleast 6 hours, resulting in the energy being a tad low during his performance. #kanyeshrug #cantblameus. He did well regardless.

The winners:

3rd place

Phi Beta Sigma: NJ Citywide | Delta Sigma Theta: Sigma

2nd place

Alpha Phi Alpha: Alpha Phi | Alpha Kappa Alpha: Tau

1st place

Alpha Phi Alpha: Delta Xi | Zeta Tau Alpha: Epsilon

Not familiar with Zeta Tau Alpha? Yeah, neither were we. But I mean, they were good.
Audience went crazy. Caused some contraversy when they won though. Had the crowd wishin they'd hushed earlier. But #idigress.

Here's their performance:
